Our MIssion and Goals

The Foundation’s mission is to raise funds to enable the Mill Valley Public Library to offer programs and services beyond what the City of Mill Valley budget provides, now and in the future.

The Foundation’s goals are to:

 

  • Provide financial support for the Library’s outstanding cultural, educational and literary programming, as well as access to up-to-date digital content and services, technology and capital improvements

  • Continue to grow our endowment to provide funding to the Mill Valley Public Library in perpetuity, ensuring the Library remains a vital resource for generations to come 

​To fulfill this mission, the Foundation raises money through:

  • An annual year-end fundraising Appeal

  • Periodic fundraising social events

  • Investment income from a growing endowment

  • Support from major donors

  • Legacy giving
