Who Are We?

The Mountain View Library Foundation is a group of volunteers deeply committed to the success and excellence of the Mountain View Public Library. We provide opportunities for everyone to help the library fulfill its mission of being an information center for our diverse community. By raising funds, we help the library continue to be a dynamic place to share resources and ideas, to find joy in reading and to experience the power of lifelong learning. We give the library the flexibility to offer special and unique programs which do not fall within the library’s operating budget. The Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization established in 1996.

What Do We Do?

We raise funds for the library by encouraging gifts throughout the year and by conducting our annual fall campaign. We also sponsor special fundraising events such as Rock and Roll for Reading.
